Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS)
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India. Starting from a humble 20 schools in 1963, KVS today has 981 Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV) spread over the length and breadth of this country and one KV each at Kathmandu, Moscow and Tehran. The number of students on the rolls of KVS is more than one million and the number of staff (both teaching and non teaching) is around 50,000.right from the inception of KVS. With the tremendous increase in the training needs, dedicated training facilities were set up by KVS in the name of Zonal Institute of Education & Training (ZIET).
